The business started trading in August 1990 as Jones Partnership; the Limited Company Partnership 44 Ltd was formed in September 2000. The initial product was the preparation of monthly management accounts for SMEs (small & medium enterprises), with advice on those accounts.
Training was introduced into the company’s portfolio when Ken Jones became an IIP consultant and increased to such an extent, two subsidiaries, bpi training Ltd. (government funded training) was formed in 1998 to handle the Work Based Learning Contract and Q4 Consultancy and Training Ltd (private sector funded training) was formed in 2004 to provide training paid for by the private sector.
Partnership 44 Ltd continued to provide business advice, specialising in raising finance including large grant applications, the largest being £850K. In 2003 Partnership 44 won a tender to provide free business advice under the GBAS programme for South East Wales; and has since built up a consultancy base that in addition to General Business Advice provides specialists in the key business drivers, marketing, finance, H.R. and operations.
Today the bpi group consist of 3 separate companies:
bpi training specialising in the delivery of funded and non funded training programmes.
bpi consultancy specialising in Free Consultancy – GSB, Business Planning, Grant Applications, Strategic Planning, Non-Executive Directors and Other Consultancy.
bpi solutions act as the sales and marketing company for the rest of the group.
